Privacy Policy
E5tarli keeps a list of things you want to do and helps you pick one. This page explains exactly what that needs from you, what we store, and what we never touch.
Who we are
E5tarli is built and operated by Eng Techno. When this policy says "we", it means Eng Techno acting as the controller of the data described below.
Using the app means this policy applies to you. If you disagree with it, don’t sign in.
What we collect
Everything below comes from you — either because you signed in, or because you typed it into the app.
- Account: the name, email address and Google account id returned by Google Sign-In. We never see or store your Google password.
- Profile: your display name, username, bio, chosen avatar character or uploaded picture, and your language.
- Onboarding answers: the choices you make in the profile questions, used to size and score your first suggestions.
- Your Pool: the activities you save — title, notes, category, estimated time, energy, tags, goals and any link you attach.
- Rolls: what the engine offered you, what you accepted, and the reason you gave when you rerolled.
- Results: what you write after finishing something — title, text, rating, duration, links, and up to nine photos you choose to attach.
- Progress: XP, level and streak counters derived from the above.
- Contact form: if you write to us from the website, the name, email, subject and message you send.
What we do not collect
This list is as much a part of the product as the feature list.
- No third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs are bundled in the app.
- No advertising identifier, no cross-app or cross-site tracking, no data brokers.
- No location, contacts, calendar, microphone or health data.
- No access to your photo library beyond the individual images you pick yourself.
- No sale of personal data, in any jurisdiction’s meaning of the word.
How we use it
Your data runs the loop and nothing else.
- To sign you in and keep your account attached to your Pool and results.
- To score and rank suggestions so a roll fits the time, energy and mood you reported.
- To award XP, levels and streaks, and to render your profile.
- To answer support messages and investigate bugs you report.
- To keep the service secure — rate limiting, abuse detection, and protecting accounts.
Why we are allowed to use it
Where data protection law asks for a legal basis, ours are: performing the contract you enter into by creating an account; our legitimate interest in keeping the service working, secure and improving; and your consent where you gave it, such as attaching a photo or making a result public. You can withdraw consent at any time by removing the content or deleting your account.
Who else sees it
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
- Google, as the sign-in provider that verifies your identity. Their handling is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.
- Our hosting and database providers, who store the data on our behalf under contract and may not use it for their own purposes.
- Other users, but only for what you deliberately publish: a result you set to public, a share link you generate, or an activity of yours that someone borrows into their own Pool.
- Authorities, where a valid legal request obliges us — and only to the extent it obliges us.
What stays on your device
Some of the app is deliberately local so it works before it loads.
- Your session token is held in the operating system’s secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android).
- Drafts, filters and preferences live in an on-device database and are never uploaded unless you save the item.
- Signing out clears the session token. Uninstalling the app removes the local database with it.
How long we keep it
Account data, your Pool and your results are kept for as long as your account exists. Delete an item and it goes; delete your account and we remove your profile, Pool, rolls and results, except where we are legally required to retain something.
Contact form messages are kept while we handle them and for a reasonable period afterwards. Backups roll over on their own schedule, so deleted data can persist in backup copies for a short window before being overwritten.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can exercise all of the following by editing your profile in the app or by writing to us at the address at the bottom of this page.
- Access a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correct anything wrong — most of it is editable in Settings.
- Delete your account and the content attached to it.
- Object to or restrict processing based on legitimate interest.
- Complain to your local data protection authority if we get it wrong.
Children
E5tarli is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.
Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Session tokens are stored in the platform’s secure keystore, admin access to production data is restricted and permission-gated, and the app never handles your Google password.
No system is perfect. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
Where your data is processed
Our servers and service providers may be located outside your country. Where data leaves your region, we rely on the safeguards the applicable law provides for such transfers, and the same protections in this policy follow the data wherever it is processed.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the product changes what it collects. The date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change is material, we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
